Major Flood on Rock River in Moline
The Rock River has hit major flood stage, and it’s still rising. By early Saturday morning the river will likely be the 6th highest it’s ever been in Moline.
That means many roads are closed down along North and South Shore Drive.
This is the result of recent heavy rains as well as plenty of snow melting over the last couple weeks.
As of Friday night (8 p.m.) the river in Moline sits at 15.11′ and is heading up to around 15.6′ by early Saturday morning. Then it starts the slow process of pulling back into its banks.
